Deborah Pamplin (Owner/Artistic Director)

Deborah has owned Dance Plus since 1987.  She has over 40 years of dance training and has done competitive and professional choreography.  She is an accredited member of the Texas Association Teachers of Dancing (TATD).  Deborah studied at Joe Tremaine Dance Company and Roland Dupress Dance Academy in Los Angeles, California.  She has performed as a prinicpal dancer with the Ballet Theatre of Texas and as a solist with the Creative Dance Company Ace Productions, and Alamo City Dance Company.

Norma Cardenas-Flores (Instructor)

Norma has over 30 years of dance training and danced professionally in Mexico.  She is certified by the Cecchetti Council of America and has been a Dance Plus employee since 1999. 

Lea Cisneros (Instructor)

Lea has been a Dance Plus employee since 2011. She has 25 years dance training. Lea has BFA in Dance and Teaching Certification from Texas State University and is currently attending UTSA Health Science Center for nursing. 

 

 

 

Alycia Davis (Instructor)

Alycia has been a Dance Plus employee since 2013. She began dancing at Dance Plus when she was 4 and was a member of the Dance Plus Competition Team.  Through some of her middle schoool and high school years Alycia was a part of the RPM Youth Tap Ensemble under the direction of Barbara Phillips. Alycia attended high school at the International School of the Americas (ISA) where she graduated Suma Cum Laude. While at ISA, she also attended the North East School of the Performing Arts (NESA) her freshman and sophomore year. In 2007, Alycia had the honor of dancing with Ballet San Antonio's professional company as a trainee, where she performed in their annual production on The Nutcracker and their spring concert of Off Center. Upon graduation in 2009, Alycia moved to Jackson, Mississippi where she was accepted into Ballet Magnificat!'s Trainee Program. After graduating from the trainee program in 2012, Alycia married Jonathan Davis. Together, they were sent to Tegucigalpa, Honduras by Ballet Magnificat! as a part of their International Outreach program. There Alycia taught ballet in an arts studio to students ranging in age from 2 1/2 to 40 year old. Upon returning to the states in the spring of 2013, Alycia and her husband had their first baby, Lydia. Alycia is excited to be back and teaching at Dance Plus.

Julie Matthews-Willis (Instructor)

Julie Matthews-Willis has a BFA in dance from West Texas A&M University and over ten years of teaching experience.  She also has several years of professional dance experience.  She was a featured dancer and swing for three seasons of  TEXAS! The Outdoor Musical and danced in various local shows, including the Amarillo Opera, YULETIDE AT THE YUCCA, and the Alamo City Dance Company's NUTCRACKER.  While attending WTAMU,  Julie was featured in a group piece that won honors at the American College Dance Association regional conference.  She was also pleased to be featured in a tap solo choreographed by George Bohn and in a jazz solo she choreographed herself.   Julie's choreography has been featured in WTAMU's FALLING INTO DANCE, in TEXAS ORIGINALS and in “Haunted River” at the Arneson River Theater.  In 2019, Julie organized Solas Dance Theatre, a performance group at Dance Plus.  Their VISIONS OF OCTOBER is an annual tribute to one of Julie's favorite holidays.  In 2022, they added A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM to their repertoire.  Julie began her training at Dance Plus when she was two years old, spent six years on their competition team, and is delighted to be back home at Dance Plus.
